Welcome back to americas favorite game show: Am I having a bisexual awakening or are we just choreographing a romantic musical number together?

I wanted to make a post starting with "as someone who is straight presenting" because I identify as a like 1 on the Kinsey scale (I know that's not cool anymore but that is the best way to describe how I identify) but then I realized in high school everyone thought I was bi and in grad school some of my closest coworkers thought I was lesbian until I showed up with a date who was a man and it's making me question my entire life. Like am I homosexual enough to identify as a disaster bi or am I not allowed because I am married to a man? Or only rarely attracted to women? If asked to put it into words my word would be heteroflexible but like is that ok to say anymore?

I blame the umbrella academy and Robert Sheehan as Klaus Hargreeves for bringing this forgotten issue forth again. No, actually it's all of them. They're all too pretty and I love them and it confuses me.

Somebody please help me.

Being at a con this week did not help because I loved all the pride booths but also when trying to buy merch was very confused like which one am I? Like pretty sure I'm demi but am I bi? Who knows? Not me that's for sure.

In a moment of self-realization: GO has made me rethink a lost relationship. A friend I had started having romantic feelings for and pushed away, not in an "I need to protect you from my feeling, give me a bit" way, but full on hurt them and shoved.

As I've been basking in all things GO I've realized how much I needed them, how much I miss them, how touch-starved I am, and how much I miss the soft intimacy of someone really knowing me. I'm not good at navigating the border between platonic and romantic though and I don't trust myself to look for another relationship in that vein.

Perhaps a Hot Take: I don't have anything against JayVik as a ship, but the amount of people in the fandom who use it as an opportunity to be openly racist and misogynistic towards Mel and Sky, and to feminize/infantilize Viktor as a disabled man make it REALLY hard to enjoy

honestly, i think one of the reasons i can tolerate julian’s early seasons' behaviour towards jadzia is the way he approaches miles in an almost identical way, being annoyingly persistent, desperate for any chance to spend time alone with them, incredibly uncomfortable moments of trying to get miles to use his first name, etc. etc.

and whether I read that as julian having a similar puppy crush on miles as he does on jadzia or interpret it as a platonic desperation to make friends, either way, it at least tells me that for all julians faults (and boy are there plenty to go around—) he at least… isn’t Like That towards jadzia because she’s a woman, y’know? he’s just Like That with everyone because he’s overenthusiastic and lacking in social graces.

like, his behaviour towards jadzia is super uncomfortable and all, but the fact that he then turns around and acts the exact same way to his middle aged male coworker just… it adds something in context that shifts it from “wow julian is really creepy with women” to “wow julian is an idiot with people” for me.

i mean he is still pretty creepy with women a lot of the time and has obvious issues with toxic masculinity but at least his horrendous ‘wear them down until they say yes’ approach is apparently just the only way he seems to have of getting to know people and making friends.
